Welcome!
The Alliance of Portage County Snowmobile Clubs offers a snowmobile system that is a uniquely self funded tourism system, no general tax dollars are used. Volunteer Club members do numerous jobs to make these trails possible…
How it Works...
Land owners are contacted for permission to cross their private land.
Trails are designed, cleared and maintained by volunteer club workers.
Most trails in the state are groomed by club groomers with heavy equipment purchased and maintained by these clubs.
Clubs and County organizations provide safety classes to help snowmobilers stay safe.
Clubs have fundraisers and social events to help with funding and "fun" raising.
Most clubs give back to their communities and charitable organizations.
The funding, often referred to as "State Funding" is actually funded by snowmobilers through their hard work and dedication to the sport.
But Wait, There’s More…
We are now the Alliance of Portage County Snowmobile & ATV / UTV Clubs, meaning you get even more out of your membership! We will keep you up to date with activities and events as they become available.
Alliance meetings are held the Third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm from September through May and are held at the Jordan Park Lodge, 5800 Hwy Y Stevens Point, just north of Hwy 66.
Contact Perry Pieper for more information.
Meetings are open to all members of the individual clubs in Portage County.
